What do you do when you have forty-five minutes until a fashion show, need to get dressed, but also need to be considerate of others and go low-prim to keep down lag? (yes you fash-holes, I said LOW PRIM AT FASHION SHOWS OMG) Well, for a show that happens to be hosted at Crimson Shadow, and includes goth-loli and retro-goodie, you find a retro-y skirt with skullz all over it, duh! :p This was just a quickie, I thought it came out kinda funny considering I put it together so quickly, with so little thought, and with such a cramp on prims. The outfit is under 50 prims if you take the choker off (I put it on after the show, just for this post) but even with the choker you are still under 70 prims.
I recently went on a COIF hair shopping spree, I had the demos in my DEMO folder forever, but I finally went and bought all the ones I wanted. This Ghost style is only six prims, comes ‘accessorized’ with the hat appeal and I felt like it kind of balanced the poofiness of the skirt. The skirt is from an outfit I got at rockerwear, it’s 14 prims, non-flexi and kind of exaggerated but when do I not like extremes? :p Plus it’s covered in cute little skullz! Win!
I had to try and find a top to pair with it because the top that comes with the skirt left my midriff exposed and that was such a fail I couldn’t tolerate it. The black underlayer is from Hushaby Baby, one thing I wanted to note about it is that it has a really bad seam line between the undershirt and underpants layer. The mesh that I wore on top of that is really fun and versatile and I haven’t found anything else like it on the grid, it comes in other colors also, I have it in black and white of course. :p
I had been waiting for an excuse to wear my katat0nik shoooz, and this was perfect timing, they’re small but still chunky and bubbly in an almost cartoon fun way – of course, the skull and bows only make these shoes that much kyoooter (and only 11 prims each!). I typed “socks” into my inventory and threw on the first pair that was solid black, simple! The choker was an after thought for this post, I had no idea I even owned it until I started riffling through my inventory, but I’m glad I found it …it’s simple yet still rather intricate and the bow lacing that ties in the back almost perfectly matches the shoes! Score!
Anyway, I’m done. That’s one way you can go low-prim but still cute and fun. Or you could always just go get one of those low-lag shopping avatars and go NINJA style! Woot! By the way, I’m so proud of you guys – Winter, E, Ach, Vosh, and everyone who participated in the show! Good luck to you guys! <3
