I have to admit that this crazy little outfit was originally inspired by Sai (and a gift from Winter! <3), when she blogged this too-cute dress from Elate. What they say is true, the prim ruffles on it really are perfect…no resizing required for the big booty, and it just moves and wiggles in such a fun way. Of course, I can’t just do anything simple, I had to give it my own personal twist…
Enter Curio Obscura’s ‘Sausage Curls’ …how can you not want to slap hair on your head that has sausage in the name? With a hair like this I really can’t take myself seriously (not that I ever do) …and the glasses I had just recently picked up free from VintageWear gave me the dorky edge I was looking for. It’s kind of like a nerd walked into a circus tent – with lots of black. I really wanted to add a hat or some kind of topping to this hair, but nothing I had in my inventory went well with it, if you guys have any ideas let me know!
Leggings, I love leggings, but you guys already knew that, and although this dress truly is a stand-alone beauty, I wanted to tone it down a notch and take it from night-out, sexy-slink to frilly-cute, sun-fun. Those lace trimmings you see on the bottom of the leggings do not come included, I jacked them from a pair of socks I have and adjusted them to look like they go together. I am so clever. :p
The shoes were just a bit of too-chic mixed in because I think it’s fun(ny) to take something ultra-uber-omg-hawt-shit and mix it up with stuff that doesn’t even make sense. I threw in some sleeve-tats for a little extra freak, slapped some stitched insides on Dove’s back and yeah…I put a spider on her shoulder, I have no idea why. I think he’s cute though. And there you go, fashion-blahblah. This is why I don’t do this blogging stuff ‘professionally’ ….
